Genius little invention
Used these to attach handrails to decking posts. Very strong fixings highly recommended
The only fixing for the job!
This was used to renovate a bannister that had been badly assembled and was unsafe. One of these on a new 1/2 newel post and another on the restored newel post and the job's a goodun! Took some time to fit the nut into the bannister rail but once done it was a breeze to tighten.

Not as time saving or convenient as the literature leads one to belive
The captive but section failed on 2 of the 4 bolts I bought. The thread needs a machined taper to encourage alignment with the captive nut and the worm drive arrangement needs stronger captive bracing

Good bolt but instructions in imperial not metric
Great bolt for fitting newel to rail, however the instructions/measurements were all in inches, which made it very confusing trying to measure out correctly.
