Spot on for the job!
I bought some of these QT10.820 Zipbolts to fasten a replacement newel post to my staircase stringer. The old newel post was held in place by a couple of wooden dowel pins and wasn't very firm so I wanted a better solution. These were perfect for the job as the nut and gear head detach from the threaded bar which meant I could position the newel post and then feed the threaded bar though the holes, fit the nut and then tension it all with the gearhead. Made the job simple and the newel post is now firmly in place. The tensioning method via the hex head makes tightening quick and easy!
