The lock worked for a few days but then the key stopped turning the lock as it slipped past the catching points and couldn't open the door. Will have to return it. The previous lock was same make which lasted for years.

Yale lock

Lock works very well and was good value for the money

Slight technical problem

I fitted this to replace an identical lock which had lost the snib button. Easily fitted, but when it came to closing the door the latch just banged into the striker plate and wouldn't close. Although the latch could be operated manually, I think that there was an obstruction which could be felt when opening it, but also seen as a mark on the latch. It wouldn't put me off buying another the same, but I thought it would be so easy.
