Lock is fine. Key is naff.

The bolt mechanism worked fine. The key itself has a cheap plastic cover, that, when the key got stuck and you pulled on it, the key handle slipped off and you had to then extricate it with plyers.

Expensive replacement

I fitted them around twenty years ago to secure conservatory windows and now need to replace them as the gear teeth on the bolts have worn and are not strong enough to force the bolts home. They initially did the job well and were easy to install, but they lost two stars for not lasting forever. I was surprised by the high price

Good, simple solution

I made large (1.8x1.2) secondary double glazing to fit inside sash windows, and these bolts, top and bottom, are simple to fit and are just what is needed. But I recall they were originally supplied with a solid brass key - shame key is now plastic/brass which doesn’t have the same qualities and authenticity.
