Excellent adjustable tension ball catches

These were purchased to replace catches on three cabinet doors which had twisted and wouldn’t hold. They were perfect for this task as the ball tension can be adjusted until the ball is held by the catch. The woodscrews supplied to hold the catch were however rubbish. The Phillips head was not central and partially infilled so the screwdriver bit didn’t fit . I had to purchase a box of decent PH1 headed countersunk screws to fit the catches.

These did the job

The catches were bought to help straighten some long cupboard doors. The doors have a solid wood frame and had started to warp, however a catch at the top and bottom of each door holds them true. Hopefully they will prevent the doors from warping further but only time will tell. .
