- This nightlatch is widely used with an electric strike as part of an access control system
- To the inside you would normally see the nightlatch operated by the thumbturn shown above or a half set of lever furniture that gives easier to operate egress

Mis-leading description of thumbturn
This is a good product, but it was poorly described. The info states "7.6mm spindle supplied". I wanted to use my own spindle which was longer and would reach right through the door for a knob on the other side. However, the stubby little spindle that comes with this thumbturn is integral with the turning piece and cannot be discarded. I think that the description is mis-leading and should have said "comes with 40mm x 7.6mm integral spindle". The drawings on the website only have the shiny side, and frustratingly didn't have a drawing of the spindle which could have helped.
