Manufactured incorrectly (May 2019)
Purchased as a direct replacement for a broken Union tubular latch. Once replaced I found that the handles were not operating smoothly. Careful examination comparing old to new latches I found that the case and backset were not as the spec. They have clearly changed manufacturer and the backset on those I was supplied with is 69.5mm, not 71.5mm as stated. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that 2mm makes quite a difference! The mechanism is also not as robust as before. I'm sure that Union will sort this out, but as of now - beware!
