Quiet Closing.

Really impressed with how quiet these are with the plastic latch. Barely even a click as you push the door closed.

Ideal for bedroom doors

These latches are so much nicer to us on a door as they give a quiet click when you close the door and don't rattle like so many of the brass ones. Just a shame they are only available with a brass face plate brass.

Unreliable operation

These latches look good, the strike plate is a decent thickness which will not bend easily, and they make a pleasing sound when the door is closed. Unfortunately, with even a slight pressure from the spindle (e.g. due to misaligned handles) the bolt sticks within the body, requiring the handles to be jiggles for it to engage.

Great product that I recommend and use regularly

Union are the better quality latches. I use stuff that works and is durable!

Exactly what I wanted

Most mortice latches are made to pretty wide tolerances - the bolt rattles arround in the barrel like a stick in a bucket. I needed one with everything close fitting with no wooly feeling to it. I can recommend this one, good +ve smooth action. OK it is the most expensive one in the catalogue, but it has the right feel and action. Highly recommend it
