Standards have gone down. The door latch return spring gets stuck because the casing is too tight..Had to undo it and grind the offending parts. I received the wrong lock and am still waiting for my credit into my account a week later. Used to be a reliable company, perhaps it’s getting to big..

Replacement for period horizontal sashlocks.

Bought these to replace a pair of Victorian sashlock that had seen better days. Dimensions were subtly different, but typical of modern sash locks. With no alternative options I bought these and set too with adjusting my old doors. They are decent, not oozing quality but fit for purpose and a reputable and established brand. The two exposed screws on the latch face are cheap zinc coated, contrasting with the satin stainless finish of the plate, but detrimental to aesthetics in my opinion. Packaging was terrible (a plastic bag), but the fact they arrived in one piece is possibly a good sign. Cannot fault the service from ironmongary direct.
