There are screws and then there are screws!
I have used these Ulti-Mate screws for a few years now. My usual work for these fastenings is medium to large stuff where I am using at least 4"x 2" timber and above. I find these fastenings fit all my requirements. They are sharp and start easily with a good cutting point. The threads grip and drive really well and in the sizes I prefer the shanks are strong enough that I experience no breakages. I like the free bit also. I am constantly losing bits and every box has a "freebie" which means that I accumulate bits faster than I can lose them. All in all a very good product that does exactly what you want from it. There are many cheaper screws out there that will let you down at some point and if you want a solid, reliable fastening I suggest that you seriously consider buying some of these.
