This is a really good wood screw!
Many of the types of wood screws that are available for sale (and there are many to choose from) are fully threaded, from tip to head. I find these don't always hold two items together and putting pressure on the screw just drives them deeper into the timber without increasing hold. The Ulti-Mate 90mm screws have a section of smooth shank before the head which allows the screw to slip in the part to be fastened and therefore the screw head to pull the two parts together. Great screw, highly recommended. The free Bit is great too!
