Tubular Latch Life Span
We had builders fit all the door furniture to the new doors we bought while doing up our present house. I am now going round gradually replacing them as they fail. Of the original 14 fitted in 2015, I have now replaced 6. The mechanism gets stiffer to operate until it eventually jams and needs extra force to open a door. I have tried lubricating the units, but this has not helped.
