Great post extension

A really useful and quality device for extending the length and durability of a post. Not cheap but worth it.

Excellent product as you would expect as it was a TiMCo product.

4” fence post base

This product is fine; does what it says on the tin. The recess internal dimension is exactly 100mm, so no need to reduce the size of the fence post by much; I achieved a snug fit with a surform plane. It has very little clamping movement as the base edge of the socket is welded all round, so the bottom of the socket does not move as the bolts are tightened. I would use again.

Seem to have done the job. Time will tell if they stand up to more demanding weather conditions. Ironmongery Direct were absolutely excellent. I emailed with a question about dimensions and they replied quickly with a precise answer. Ordered and they were delivered the next day at a price equal to local prices. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending or using again as a first class company.
