It might work if your wood post is soft. A hard, well-seasoned post will not be driven in without immense force. But the main problem is that the metal vanes are only on three sides, leading to the post being forced into an angle off from vertical.

Does the job but could do with altering !!

There okay but the post holder could do with having the side slots punched out completely and not leaving the grooves down side as then you have to drive you post in or cut bit of the post which is a pain

For an uncluttered covered decking area …….

I particularly liked the fact that there were no unsightly nuts and bolts with this shoe. More work involved in inserting the upright, but well worth the effort. Have used these shoes now at 2 different locations.

Good solid quality Not easy to fit - however secure once hammered in place. Defo recommend
