OK if you need for standard doors

Product is excellent - however only sold in sets for standard doors - I required a set for patio doors - 3 x 2.1 m lengths. Only way to do this was to buy two standard door sets - not ideal

Excellent draught excluder - easy to install

Great product, although the aluminium bar isn't as highly polished as it shows on the website images. I brightened them up with a little Autosol.

Best draft strip I have come across!

This is certainly not the cheapest retrofit weather sealing strip available on the market, but it is certainly the best that I have used over the years. If you have timber framed exterior doors then finding a good quality product to draft seal the inevitable gaps around the edges can be a challenge. Simple self adhesive foam strips might seem like a great solution until you realise that you can no longer fully close the door anymore to meet the catch or lock! This very smart looking strip consists of an Aluminium extrusion which is preloaded with a flexible but quite robust and durable skinned foam seal. It can easily be cut and shaped to appropriate lengths for any door using a hacksaw and file, and is fitted from the outside with the door already in the closed position. Strips are held in place using the supplied substantial stainless steel pins through a series of predrilled holes in the extrusion. These give firm and lasting fixing even into softwood frames. Tip 1: The strips should be positioned so that the seal only just lightly touches the door surface when in the fully closed position. If you press the seal to the door too firmly before pinning in place then the overall force required too close the door far enough to meet the lock or catch may become too great for practical use! Tip 2: DO by this product in the format supplied here i.e. two long 2.1m strips for for left and right sides and one shorter strip for the top, all with the seals preloaded to the extrusions. For easier mail order shipping, some suppliers offer a similar product as a series of short 1m section of the Aluminium extrusions and separate longer pieces of flexible seal. This leaves the end user trying desperately to slide the seal into multiple pieces of loose extrusion in order to create the two long side strips. This would be a big disaster, since the seal does not really slide at all easily! If you take your time to cut and shape the corner points of the strips to fit your particular door frame, then a very good functional and visually pleasing result can be obtained. I bought a set for the back door over two years ago and still looks and works as good as the day fitted. Liked it so much I have just bought another set for the front door!
