Good quality product

A robust powder-coated aluminium double door sealing strip which was easy to fit and effective. Cuts to length easily with a multi-material chop saw blade. Makes a big difference in terms of draft sealing. Only four stars because it’s expensive and cost a disproportionate amount in delivery charges. Nothing wrong with the product.

Expensive and not that brillant

This looks nice and is easy to fit but the seal is very thin meaning the gap has to be extremely consistent along the joining edges of the doors. That is, the front face of the doors need to be flush with each other throughout the length of the join. Given that I bought this to help seal wooden doors that are no longer true, this is only a partial success. If it had a thinker seal it would be excellent and worth the money without doubt.

Simple solution and very effective. Supplied fixing screws are coloured to match. Had to buy 2 lengths for a 2400mm door, the rubber seal supplied is provided longer than the aluminium profile so you can avoid having the joints of the seal and the profile in the same place. Some end caps would have been useful.

Well worth the extra effort to fit

Provided a good neat solution to a clients long term draft problem on their wooden french doors. The rubber seal had a good deal of tolerance to deal with the gap and sealed it effectively. Some of the previous reviews moaned about the rubber seal slipping down the extrusion and out. This is true and it’s s pity the product isn’t supplied with end caps. However, a 4 x 20mm stainless steel screw inserted into the end of the extrusion gripped the aluminium and rubber seal nicely and held it tightly into position. I’m a nutshell this is a good product that is efficient and effective that was worth the effort to find a solution to the slipping rubber seal.

Great idea, terrible in reality.

I trusted Stormguard products, so viewed with caution the review that said it was not good. It is a terrible product. The rubber seal slips out as it is not gripped at all. The end caps mentioned are no longer available. It stops the doors from shutting at all. Do not waste your money.
