FIT FOR PURPOSE....

Having purchased many padlocks for my farm over the last decade, I have not been impressed by the reliability, particularly of the combination padlocks. By chance, one of my previous purchases, a Squire combination has proved to be the most reliable. I would therefore recommend the quality and reliability of these for outdoor use, ie gates.

Perfect padlock

Very easy to set the combination and works perfectly well. Only been in place for a week so can’t really comment on its long term durability but it seems very well made.

Not as illustrated

I bought six of these padlocks for outdoor use and regular code changes. The padlocks supplied are not as illustrated. A small screw needs to be removed each time code is changed. I wanted the padlock illustrated which has no parts that can be lost in the field and only requires a tool for changing code. On enquiring I'm told all padlocks stocked have similar design. None of the catalogue illustrations show this. Disappointing!
