As described

This was one of four items purchased in one order. All the items were as described and appear to be of good quality. Delivery service was prompt, HOWEVER the packages were very poorly addressed, providing only a Customer Name and Street name (No House / Flat Name and Number) leaving the courier at a complete loss ! Had the local Postman, by complete and fortunate coincidence, not been outside at the time, and recognised my name, the courier would not have been able to find an address to deliver to.

Great Screws

These screws really are the business for heavy duty fixing. They have thread the full length of the screw. Some of these T Star screw products are not threaded the full length so you need to be careful if you need the thread the full length. Note also that, under the washer head, there is a slight bulge in the steel. It does mean that, if using to fix a metal mounting plate or steel conduit, your clearance hole will need to be bigger than just to clear the thread itself. It's a shame that you can't get these screws in a shorter length like 6.0 x 50mm (at least not in the UK). Works out at about 40p per screw which sounds expensive but these are heavy duty and stainless so I am happy to pay that.

Perfect for the job

We purchased these for a rendering project where we needed to fix stainless steel EML (mesh) to the masonry to create a key or good bond. We thought these would be a better solution than using standard screws and washers. They worked perfectly, Spax screws are excellent and in this case perfect for the job. Although they seem expensive to buy, using this method saved time and therefore money.
