They don't say Wirox on the box
The coating is a bright shiny silver - looks just like a zinc coated screw so not that special really. The shaft is hardly any different from a basic thread and shaft but it does work at cutting its way in without a pilot. However, I bought these to screw plywood furniture together (with all the relevant pre-drilling going on. I wanted a screw with a smooth shaft (partially threaded) and a torx head to look good. They are adequate but I was hoping for a little more bling tbh. The fact there is no such word as "WIROX" on the packaging was quite frustrating. I'm told by Ironmongery Direct that this is definitely still a wirox screw despite not saying so on the label. Well, whatever, it sounds a case for Trading Standards if you ask me.
