Perfect for assembling large furniture panels

I bought this for a furniture project which involves bonding 9mm of pine and oak to 18mm birch plywood to make thick furniture panels that were 'less likely to cup/warp' so to speak. After applying a coat of the adhesive to the ply using a grout speader (squeege tip) the panels were rested on top and weights added to press the solid wood onto the plywood/adhesive. Being a PVA based adhesive there is a resonable amount of working time allowing you to position the work pieces, though with this method I found after about 10-15 minutes the two pieces of wood could not be moved. This is excellent as with the amount of movement that was possible when first applied I had concerns that the two panels would slide at a 'glacial rate' over the curing time and ruin the work - it did not so very pleased. Will leave with weights for 24 hours in order to assure that the glue is fully cured but first impressions are very good. I just wish I hadn't bought the 5000ml tub as it is going alot further than what I expected it to! But at this price its excellent for large projects, especially when compared to Gorilla glue which I also use, but is expensive by volume as Gorilla glue is only available in 500ml bottles. So for comparison the price of this tub is the equivalent of buying 2 bottles of Gorilla PVA glue from a price perspective - at the end of the day they are both wood PVA and are both water resistant once cured.
