- Excellent high temperature sealing
- Excellent thermal stability with volume expansion beginning at 180°C
- Unique chemical formulation means product retains char stability to 1000°C
- Expands to 10 times original volume
- Strong adhesive backing allows rapid & easy installation in both fire door apertures & fire glazing screens
- Can be easily cut for glazing beads & other precision dependant applications
- Resistant to atmospheric moisture & carbon dioxide
- Can be used as a glazing liner so no need for additional products
- Used for a broad range of fire resistant glazing for integrity, semi-insulating & insulation properties
- Tested to BS 476: Pt 22

- Suitable for hinges up to 100mm width
- Pack suits 3 pairs of FD60 hinges or 6 pairs hinges on FD30
- Are you fitting fire doors? If yes, you need to fit these pads to comply with European standards
- IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION: It is a legal requirement for hardware fitted to fire resisting doors to be CE marked. This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. The hinges we have marked on this page as suitable for fire doors are all tested and accredited. Important: When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire resisting test they are fitted to the door and frame with intumescent pads under each leaf. You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. Failure to comply and fit intumescent pads in these circumstances will negate the installation. Fitting: fit one pad under each hinge leaf for FD30 and two under each leaf for FD60. Certifire is a Third Party Certification scheme encompassing compliance with British or European Standards, Fire test performance and Quality Assurance to ensure that the product certificated provides an acceptably high quality of performance.
