Its ok but needs to be reamed out

When put on to the small cupboard door the screws hit the latch i had to ream the hole out a lot more then it needed to stop the latch from hitting the latch

Very decorative, nicely made, polished and good value, BUT unusable as the screws provided stick up way above the countersinking so that the turn button is prevented from swivelling. Tried further counter-sinking but too little tolerance to get a countersink bit to bear. Smaller screws too tiny to secure properly in a marine setting. Sorry to be so negative but you asked me to write a review.

With regard to this butterfly catch, I really should have read the product reviews beforehand. Several previous customers had commented on this same issue. I didn't bother - I was too eager to purchase this catch, as this type was exactly what I had been looking for. Unfortunately, on receiving it, I found that the holes on both pieces were not machined properly to accept countersunk screw heads. The angle of the 'V' shape of the hole to accommodate the neck of the screw are milled too narrow, resulting in the screw standing proud and preventing the little armature to be moved across to the keeping side. It is NOT a matter of screw size, but sloppy design accommodation for the screw head. Quite disappointing, as I was looking forward to finishing my project. Please be aware, that if you purchase this product at this time (April 2021), you are taking a chance of having the same situation happen. The support team were quite happy to receive the returned product and issue a refund, but in the long run, costly to the vendor, and a big waste of time for the customer. No stars for the product, (I had to leave at least one to write my review) five stars for the customer support team.
