One of the best screws I’ve had in a while.

Great long body, good looking head. Not the cheapest screw on the market, but ironmongerydirect had the best price I could find, especially once you factor in the free and fast delivery. When it came to the actual insertion, it slid in nice and easy, without any resistance. No need for any pre-lubrication and no signs of splitting either, which was great considering the size of the thing. Looking for screws online can be a risky business, especially when you are not 100% sure that what will turn up on the doorstep is really as good as the photo shown on the website. But thankfully, this little beauty turned out to be just as good as promised. They were so right for the job I was doing in the alley, that next weekend I might have a go at the back door too. Highly recommended.
