- Pack suits 3 pairs of FD60 hinges or 6 pairs hinges on FD30
- Are you fitting fire doors? If yes, you need to fit these pads to comply with European standards
- IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION: It is a legal requirement for hardware fitted to fire resisting doors to be CE marked. This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. The hinges we have marked on this page as suitable for fire doors are all tested and accredited. Important: When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire resisting test they are fitted to the door and frame with intumescent pads under each leaf. You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. MIND THE GAPS !!
A customer called me because she had a mighty draught from her inner back door. When I looked, there was a thin strip of foam with double sided tape all around where the 15mm fire/smoke should have been. The door and frame are fire rated 30mins.. The Pyroplrex was actually specified on the door info ! Why did the contractor not use the correct material ?? Job took 1/2 hour to complete and now have a very draught free happy customer !

MIND THE GAPS !!
