Strong & brilliant value for money

Well put together and perfect for what they were purchased for plus very economically priced. Being used on a disabled ramp not only for a solid handrail structure but also for underneath strengthening in tight areas where another side rail is not possible from the ground. It's useful to have a heavy hammer and a scrap flat piece of wood for when driving the posts into the shoe as it a good strong & tight fit but you have confidence once in that it's not going to be moving.

A great product

I purchased these post shoes from ironmongery direct after purchasing others locally - the other products wer inferrior but ironmongery directs were well priced, sturdy and look great on the job

Wrong size

I have to agree with a previous post these products are not the correct size. They will not accept a standard sawn 4 x 4 post without trimming them down. Made the job much harder than needed. They do however appear well made

Issues with fitting a 100x100 post

I’ve bought 16 of these for a decking job at home, they’re not the right size for a 100x100 post, they are fractionally too small. I’ve had to install one due to the 45-50 mph winds forecast last week but the edge has split when I pushed the post in. Also the picture is not of the item, it’s for a much smaller post. See attached. disappointing.
