- The bar length indicates the length of the latch bar and consequently the distance the ring would be set back from the door edge and frame. It is possible to cut the latch bar to achieve a different backset, however you would then need to repaint the cut end

- Regular maintenance with household wax polish is required to prevent rusting, search for 'maintenance wax'

The quality of the latch set is brilliant and would highly recommend, and reminds me of quality products from 50 years ago!
