This is just what we I hoped for. A great well made heavy iron door knob which looks fabulous on the door. We are delighted with it.
What I needed
I needed new door knobs for my renovated front door and these were exactly what I needed.
Quality product at a great price
Bought a pair of these to replace the handles on my front door. They arrived next day, as promised, and am very pleased with the product. They are a good weight and nice finish too. Supplied with predrilled square bar, escutcheon plates and all screws. For the price, would definitely recommend.

threaded spindle to screw on handles
no mention of the need for a threaded spindle, so impossible to get a longer one to fit

Disappointed
Poor quality mortice, handles do not fit flush to door, loose when opening and closing door. Spindle not straight probably cause of problems.

Good solid door knob.
Excellent period reproduction. However, because of the weight of the product the return springs on the rim locks a purchased are not strong enough to to pull the catch back to the neutral position after operating the knob. This means you have to return the lock to neutral by hand after opening the door to allow the lock to stay engaged on the spring latch. I recommend exploring a stronger spring in the rim lock to complete a quality job.
