Not so good

This item was bought as a replacement for the last that fell apart and which i just couldnt be bothered returning for a replacement. Most of the products from ironmongery direct are of reasonable quality. Unfortunately the previous handle came apart since not adequately rivited to its back plate, Another issue with this product is that the handle is too close to the back plate so with windows that have a seal- ie the sash sits slightly away from the window frame then the mullion plate sits forward of the frame which is not ideal, also why must the mullion plate be so thick? This is not an expensive item but the choice of a better quality option would be a good idea if anyone is listening?
