Ideal for Vocal/Isolation Booth

Having spent a small fortune having a vocal/isolation booth built for voice-over work, I was most concerned about providing a decent seal around the door, this being the weakest/most vulnerable part of the structure with regard to noise. The Norsound Retrofit Acoustic Drop Sealed Solution Pack was perfect for the job as it was very easy to install (basic DIY skills are all that are required) and it provided a sufficient seal around the door to prevent any significant sound leakage either into or out of the booth. In addition, the Norsound Retrofit Acoustic Drop Sealed Solution Pack was incredibly competitively priced offering a great saving when compared with buying the individual parts. Highly recommend!

Simple to fit

Easy-to-use and makes a noticeable reduction in noise. The mechanism works by a piston being pushed in when the door closes ,on this installation the gap between door and jamb was about 4mm so the acctuator just disappeared into the gap. I fitted a pan head screw in the jamb to act as a striker plate which worked well

Great little kit

Purchased this kit to stop sound leaking from my home theater, does a great job at stopping sound leakage & is easy to install.

A complete kit - great value over buying individual components

The problem was to improve the sound insulation of 'talking therapy' rooms. The current doors, made of solid wood, have fairly close fitting door to door jamb space but there was a very large floor gap of over 3cm. I needed a neat and attractive solution to 'retro fit' to the doors to reduce the sound seepage both into and out of the room. Fitting was farly simple but you do need to measure very carefully and think it through ... measure twice cut ONCE. The Norsound Retro Fit Acoustic Drop Seal worked perfectly ... my only comment is that you need to download the fitting instructions from the 'Norsound' website as the ones that came with the pack are printed in such small lettering that I couldn't read it. I have trialed the seal on the first room and now will proceed to fitting it onto all 7 doors.
