- 30 minute fire rated intumescent strip
- The 15mm width is the popular choice or doorset manufacturers who prefer the size due to its 'belts and braces' way of getting through fire tests
- The leading brand fire resisting doors are fitted with the 15mm size, one strip for 30 minute doors and 2 strips running parallel, but approx 6mm apart, plus one brush and one plain where smoke seals are required around the door to achieve FD60 status
- Additionally, factory doorset manufacturers use this size as it has enabled them to use one size cutter for either FD30 or FD60 doors, albeit set up differently
- All brushes are black with no plastic fin, reducing noise levels and resistance
- Fully tested to BS 476 Pt 20:22 and Pt 31.1 cold smoke leakage

Works a charm.
I bought this to retro fit into the base of my door. i.e. I did not already have a channel cut and had to cut this myself. I was expecting this to be very difficult, and wondered whether it would work in my less then perfect channel. Turns out it is perfect - also equalising the level of gap for me. The screw feature to adjust the drop is a super solution and makes it all very easy. Thoroughly recommend. I might noe buy more for my other doors. In expensive but good quality.

Hello, The drop seals are self levelling. So, as long as the gap doesn't exceed the maximum drop distance along the bottom of the door, the seal will self level itself along the floor surface. I hope this helps

Good morning, This is an acoustic seal used to reduce sound travel. We would advise to use a weather seal, we do stock rain deflectors and also rise and fall draught excluders, however they are face fixed.
