Just what I was looking for

About 35 years ago I bought a wooden box and its lid. It was pale and sun bleached and after many hours of feeding it with olive oil it showed its lovely mahogany colours and I started looking for replacement hinges when I thought about it. Finally, many years later, I actually thought about the hinges when I actually had time to look and hey presto, after many years, the box is now joined with its lid after a bit of work with glue and matchsticks to build up the old holes! Joy and delight and a sense of smugness after SO many years! PS Sadly Expertise level request below doesn't offer complete novice as a description!
