Medium Duty Council Pattern Suffolk Gate Thumb Latch - 204 x 44mm - Galvanised

Disappointing product.

Galvanising was so rough it hindered the movement of the latch. Handle plate was bent out of shape. worst thing though was the screws provided. Very poor quality. Three heads rounded off and one snapped when screwing in despite a pilot hole.

Time will tell

I haven't fitted it yet but the base plate looks a little more flimsy than I expected. Hopefully it will be man enough when screwed to the gate!

Right quality, right price

Brought 2 heavy duty and one light duty latch. The heavy duty are thicker and stronger. All nicely galvanised. All fixing screws etc supplied. Will use again.

Thin metal for the price

I buy much better ones from my local farmers co-op for half the price. These are well overpriced, but they do work.
