Needs illustrated instructions for fitting

It looks good and should do the job I want. However there are no instructions as to how to fit the long piece and it is not obvious to me! In fact a couple of other traders have scratched their heads too! Illustrated instructions would be appreciated! Are you able to email some to me please. This aside it’s good!
