Not one of your best having drilled correct size holes handles failed to fit properly which in turn made locking facility hard to work

Sadly it's not as good as it looks

Unfortunately not as good as it looks - The carpenter installed it and it was damaged so I spent many twice (buying the handle and paying the carpenter).

Beautifully Engineered set, somewhat challenging to install well.

This product is extremely well made and seems worth the money. It does require great care in fitting as it seems to have no tolerance for slight misalignment. The handle/external release are mounted in a plastic unit which requires a 44mm hole, Get this slightly out and the handle won't turn. Getting a 44mm hole cutter to centre with an accuracy of 1mm is hard work. The keep plate has no fitting instructions to line it up with the lock and some trial and error was required, It needs to be accurately aligned vertically and also must be close to the lock face to allow the lock tongue to enter and close smoothly. The backset is only 46mm which puts your hand close to the doorframe when locking the door, a greater backset would improve this. The operating handle is recessed so people with poor finger strength may find it difficult to turn especuially if its close to the frame limiting position of the hand. I would gave preferred a know which stood proud and was a little larger.
