Good solid gate latch.

Just exactly as described very pleased, looks like it’ll last as it is galvanised.

Mostly OK but flawed

The front plate and handle are sturdy and functional. The lifter and the main latch lever are not so sturdy but OK. The guide plate allows too much fore-and-aft play. My main complaint is that the profile of the latch keeper doesn't allow the gate to swing shut - it just bangs and you have to lift the latch. In the end I used the guide plate and keeper from a B&Q product.

Heavy duty job to secure a pair of solid garden doors, after the recent gales tore one off the hinges and destroyed the similar system supplied by a firm that fixes screws. Also bought the long bolt to go across the pair, they ain’t coming down again !
