- It's now possible to achieve a considerable fitting time saving when fitting self closing doors where you would traditionally fit hinges and a chain closer
- The adjustable spring hinges featured here will close a door in a similar fashion to a chain type closer; sprung closing action without checking action
- If a controlled closing action is required then you should fit standard hinges and an overhead closer as featured elsewhere on our website
- The self closing spring tension can be disengaged by the removal of a small grub screw, allowing the door to swing freely, if it is no longer required to be a fire resisting door

A warning not on the website!!
Very unhappy with this euro sash lock! I bought this happy in the knowledge that I'd latter purchase a handle with a round rose to compliment the esctcheon that comes with the sash lock, BUT! Unfortunately the centres from handle spindle to lock are only 47mm, meaning that my new handle rose will be butting the escutcheon, absolutely no gap between the two. To compound the problem, there is no alternative handle on the website to solve this problem. I would suggest to Ironmongerydirect that they sell this sash lock and others with a similar 47mm centre with a caution, detailing this issue.
