- Suitable for hinges up to 100mm width
- Pack suits 3 pairs of FD60 hinges or 6 pairs hinges on FD30
- Are you fitting fire doors? If yes, you need to fit these pads to comply with European standards
- IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION: It is a legal requirement for hardware fitted to fire resisting doors to be CE marked. This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. The hinges we have marked on this page as suitable for fire doors are all tested and accredited. Important: When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire resisting test they are fitted to the door and frame with intumescent pads under each leaf. You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. Good euro cylinder Dead lock bad escutcheon plate
Fitted this euro cylinder deadlock the other day, good value for money but the only thing that was letting it down was the escutcheon plate was a bit of a pain to fit as the back of it wasn’t a flat surface and had no screw threads for the screws to go into it was almost like I had to tap my own using the screws they provided. If you don’t have a impact driver it will be a pain to install

The issue I have with this lock is the ugly escutcheons and the unsightly protrusion of the thumbturn knob which, on a door 45mm thick was apparently lacking any adjustment. If I'm wrong, someone please put me straight. Perhaps it's only designed for thicker doors. The external escutcheon has a freely revolving chrome slot which has to first be turned to enable access for the key. What's that about? So unnecessary and cumbersome if it's raining and you just want to get inside. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose. No problem with the lock case or cylinder except perhaps the rather rough way they countersink the key slot in the cylinder. It's just had a drill pressed into it and it looks rough. It works perfectly well however.
