Controlling the opening of my attic hatch

I needed something to stop my attic hatch from "swinging" down freely when opened. First time I opened it it nearly took my head off, so wanted something that was safer and more predictable. Saw these online and wondered if they would be too small. Yes, they are small, but they work perfectly. I changed out the screws for something more substantial, but once everything was installed they worked like a dream. Will be dofinitely considering using these for some future projects.

Works well

I bought this to convert a vertical cupboard to a horizontal application as I needed to support the weight of the door. The gas springs do exactly what I needed. They fit and work well.

Just right

Bought these to replace broken / unsuitable fittings at property of family member. Job was difficult due to mounting one bracket of each stay on masonry. The three- hole fitting for this was unsuitable but use of alternative two hole bracket (also supplied) was satisfactory. The installation was three mirrored drawbridge style cupboards, The gas-filled downward stays are just right for this installation.
