- We would strongly recommend bedding both hinge leaves on intumescent pads to comply fully with BS EN 1634 test requirements
- Low expansion pressure makes it ideal for use with door ironmongery & is specified by many door manufacturers
- Provides FD30 & FD60 fire protection with one pad under each hinge leaf
- Interdens ® is the registered trade mark of BASF Wolman GmbH, Sinzheim, Germany
- It is recommended that gloves are worn whilst fitting

This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. The hinges we have marked on this page as suitable for fire doors are all tested & accredited. Important: When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire resisting test they are fitted to the door & frame with intumescent pads under each leaf. You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. Failure to comply & fit intumescent pads in these circumstances will negate the installation. - The 15mm width is the popular choice or doorset manufacturers who prefer the size due to its 'belts and braces' way of getting through fire tests
- The leading brand fire resisting doors are fitted with the 15mm size, one strip for 30 minute doors and 2 strips running parallel, but approx 6mm apart, plus one brush and one plain where smoke seals are required around the door to achieve FD60 status
- Additionally, factory doorset manufacturers use this size as it has enabled them to use one size cutter for either FD30 or FD60 doors, albeit set up differently
- All brushes are black with no plastic fin, reducing noise levels and resistance
- Fully tested to BS 476 Pt 20:22 and Pt 31.1 cold smoke leakage
- Independently tested on a range of single and double leaf doorsets
- Ideal for humid environments
- High tack self adhesive backing for quick and easy fitting
