Straightforward addition

These were obtained for our more vulnerable doors and windows, all of which are oldish upvc. Fitting is reasonably straightforward. Care must be taken though to consider exactly which fixings to use and what may lie in their path, once penetration of the box section has occurred. If your reinforcement is steel, a strong magnet may be employed to create a picture of what lies inside. Ensure that a check is made on the position of fixing screws for lock assemblies etc, as these will probably be made of hardened steel and may break any drill that encounters them. A good selection of fixings, spacers and contact pads are included. Take time to read the instructions. When drilling, start with a small drill bit in order to explore, then work up to the required size.

Reassuringly solid and not difficult to fix

Bought these to secure an outward opening double door from our conservatory. The jammers are heavy enough to give confidence and fitted tightly. As a DIYer I welcomed the clear instructions and the provision of both self tapping screws and bolts/jacknuts to suit both possible fitting needs. A good product.

Spot on for the job, nice and easy to fit, I fit 9 in less than an hour using one of the packers as a template, this makes life so easy!
