Elan uPVC Multipoint Door Handle - 92mm c/c - Antique Black Iron

Bad quality

Sloppy, poorly manufactured. The levers have too much play between each other partly due to the spindle being a sloppy fit and partly due to the grub screw being made of cheese. Fitted to a lock with a moderately strong latch spring, yet the levers still slumped. The through bolts have only 3-4 mm of thread to hold on to, unfortunately for me this fell at the threadless part of the bolt - the part designed as a cutting point on the thread.

Lever door handles

These handles were lovely and arrived very speedily. Sadly they were incompatible with the locks I'd also bought, but used the free return service and had a refund in my bank account within days.

Nice - but not designed for a uPVC door

I was sold this as being suitable for a uPVC door, but it clearly was for a timber door as it didn’t have the two screw holes required for fitting to a uPVC door.

Solid well made but with problems

Beautifully made solid handle, but let down by thick paint on moving parts making handle very stiff, too stiff for lock mechanism to return handle to closed position.

Perfect Replacement

Great service from Ironmongery Direct when our existing handle broke.
