Binding doors

It binds on the side cheeks when opening and closing. Although this is an intentional design it will greatly reduce the lifespan as constant rubbing will wear it out.

Mirror door cabinet doors and packaging

Bought this cabinet to replace an illuminated Allibert with drawers. Obviously only has two doors not 3 triptych doors so you can’t get a side view without a handheld mirror. It is also much heavier than a plastic cabinet. Wanting to reuse the holes in the wall the new cabinet hangs much higher. Managed to buy two plastic trays which fit neatly inside instead of drawers. My son built the cabinet and it was straightforward. Though I though it would come with proper adjustable hinges for the doors. Not small plastic posts which mean the top of cupboard has to be removed to take doors out. Which is impossible with our Pullman light bar fitted on top. So hopefully mirrors won’t rust too quickly. Doors also have a small gap and one side hangs higher than the other. Though all pieces arrived apparently intact, once the cabinet was hung and the plastic protection film removes, a small piece on outer edge of mirror came off. Not sure wether this happened in transport and was not visible or on hanging. Would obviously not happen if doors could be put in after hanging cabinet housing or if corner protection was kept on until final installation is complete. Don’t know wether there was an instruction for that. Not highly visible enough. So for the money it is a good enough cabinet, but some improvements could/should be made.

Very good price and delivered promptly without packaging problems. Has been easy to put together and looks great now it's in place in the bathroom

Good Product - Shame about Quality Control

Bought this as it seemed the perfect size for our new bathroom. Assembly was straightforward until I noticed that the mirror doors were different coloured glass, one with a grey hue and the other with a green hue. IronmongeryDirect (ID) sent me a replacement cabinet very promptly. This had matching glass so I swapped the doors before returning the replacement. However I have still not mounted it on the wall as one half of the magnetic catch has now stopped working (won't lock in). Rather than going back to ID I contacted Croydex directly to ask for just a catch to be sent. A week later I am still waiting ......
