Poorly made.

Very poor quality, falling apart had to return all four.

Latch

Too much slack. Fitted to a loft hatch, which when latched was 3-4mm lower than the hinge side

Very disappointed

This item was purchased to replace what appeared to be an identical latch on a kitchen cabinet. On arrival it proved to be visually a very good match. However, on fitting the latch it did not work. Upon removing it and dissembling the catch mechanism it was clear that the workmanship was extremely poor and despite two attempts to re-fit the mechanism the latch still fails to work. The problem lies in shoddy machining which results in the moving parts bring too loose to remain in place. It is not made by the same manufacturer as the lock it was designed to replace and I will now endeavour to find a better quality item. In all fairness I could not recommend this item at all.

Perfect Victorian cupboard catch

I bought this to replace the catch on my airing cupboard. This fits the bill perfectly, is in complete sync with the style of the house and looks much more expensive than it was. Easy to fit and arrived speedily. Highly recommend the catch and Ironmongery Direct to everyone!
