Altro straight barrel bolt does the job perfectly

I purchased the Altro Straight barrel bolt as a replacement for the previous sub standard barrel lock that was being used on a door leading to our utility room. The quality of the lock was immediately apparent when I compared it with the previous lock and the antique brass finish on it made it the perfect match for our Victorian terrace as it perfectly suited the style of the house as we have many other brass coloured handles. The locking mechanism was extremely smooth and the screws supplied did an adequate job to secure the lock. Due to needing to secure the lock in position I had to use two nickel 5 inch screws instead of the 2 out of the 4 antique brass style screws supplied. I requested spare screws but was advised that due to the bespoke nature of the lock that the screws had to be specially made and I could not order spares which was a little disappointing. Nonetheless, the lock moves effortlessly and is extremely good compared with its predecessor. I can’t recommend using the Altro Straight Barrel Bolt highly enough for these reasons.
