Disappointed

The knobs are larger than the plate. You cannot detach the plate to fix to the door. Yes, you can use a right angle screw driver but there isn't enough clearance between plate and knob to do this efficiently or effectively for a really good finish. We did the best we could, these are not cheap and the deign is simply not good enough for the price. Disappointed and have asked for a partial refund due to the finish they provide.

Replacement Door Knobs

We decided to replace all our ceramic door knobs with brass. We chose these as they suited us best. A good quality product with a strong return spring. They look very good, but need quite a strong grip to turn them fully.

Quality knob for oak doors.

Good quality, well sprung knobs, ideal size for larger doors.

Really poor. Door knobs heavily corroded

Bought a pair of brass mortise door knobs. They were heavily corroded and scratched. Ironmongerydirect sent me out a second pair, saying they had checked the condition of the stock first. I’ve just received this pair and found they are in the same corroded and scratched condition.

Good quality

Well made with strong spring. Spring is reversible but need a C clamp removal tool. Screws need to be inserted at an angle to clear the knob but I guess this is unavoidable.
