About this product
- Altro Easi T tubular latches are heavy duty latches designed for use with door handles and door knobs
- The heavy double spring action will return the lever or knob to its original position, and the soft bolt spring ensures the door closes quietly and smoothly
- The latch comes with a removable forend, which enables you to change the plate finish without removing the latch from the door
- Apart from the 64mm case size, the latches have pierced cases that will accept bolt-through door handles
- NOTE: Due to the heavy spring within the latch, these tubular latches are not suitable for sprung door furniture
- NOTE: Intumescent should be used to ensure adherence to fire regulations

- The double locking mechanism operates by putting the key in the outside cylinder upon exit and turning in the reverse direction
- This will double lock the handle on the inside, stopping a thief breaking the glass and letting themselves into the property
- Careful consideration should be given when fitting this Yale nightlatch lock to give the building occupants clear instructions in use, as it is possible to lock someone within the property if the handle is double-locked with an occupant still inside. Not therefore recommended on single entry / exit door dwellings
- Backset is measured from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyhole

Perfect for the job
Very quick delivery, perfect for our water tank cupboard to stop children and pets opening the door. Would definitely recommend.
Well made and easy to fit
Bought for bathroom to provide a simple internal lock. I found it very easy to install with a separate purchase of a rim knob. Looks good and works well although not the cheapest especially with rim knobs but it is good quality so you get what you pay for.
