Hello, From previous customer feedback, they found they the bolt did drop down, so I do not think this would be suitable for you application. Only the straight barrel bolt has to gap to bring the knob to the side, such as: https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/product/aglio-straight-barrel-bolt-75x25mm-antique-brass-357710 Thank you

Hello, 4mm screws are the standard size screw for decorative barrel bolts. we do not have any bolts that take larger size gauge screws Thank you
