Very nice quality sash fasteners

For the price, very good quality. Only issue is that they came with modern pozidrive screws, so I bought some brass slotted screws instead.

Nice brass, rubbish screws

The two parts of the sash fastener appear to be made of good quality solid brass, probably coated to prevent tarnishing. However, the supplied screws are rubbish. Firstly, they absolutely look like cheap brass plated steel crossheads. What was the problem with bothering to supply some good old fashioned solid brass countersunk screws? Secondly, the supplied screws will be too long for many applications: the top rail of the bottom sash and the bottom rail of the top sash are often quite narrow. These screws will go right through the rail and stick out of the other side. Whoever specified these screws had no idea how the product was going to be used. If you buy this product you are very likely going to have to supply your own screws.
